Our reason for being
At Domaines & événements, we give life to exceptional heritage sites, integrated into natural settings, to Bring Together & Belong Together, create shared moments and evoke memorable emotions.
We demonstrate our social responsibility by opening our estates free of charge and all year round, for various community events, such as Heritage Days, the Christmas market, the egg hunt, neighbours' day... to strengthen the ties within our communities.
We attach paramount importance to the preservation of the surrounding nature, with initiatives such as the transformation of our spaces into LPO shelters to promote biodiversity and encourage harmonious coexistence between people and nature.
D&é strives to maintain the authenticity of its places steeped in history while adapting them to modern requirements, thus guaranteeing the transmission of this heritage to future generations. Domaines & événements is committed to being a key player in the promotion of regional heritage, considering these efforts as fundamental to our identity and our role in creating a society that is more united and respectful of its heritage.
Our concrete actions
We have embarked on the demanding B Corp “Benefit for All” certification process, which leads us to assess our societal and environmental impact comprehensively across the following themes: environment, transparency, governance and impact on the community, employees and our customers.
Estates & management
Upstream from construction:
Artificialisation of soils is almost zero because we are bringing existing places back to life.
Replacement of fuel oil in our estates, installation of heat pumps and maximum insulation of our common areas.
Installation of vehicle charging stations and automated external defibrillators on our premises.
At least €10,000 invested in biodiversity, with beehives in two of our estates.
Reduction in water use: wells, springs and moats on our estates.
During operation:
Zero plastic, zero-kilometre water.
Eco-label for our cleaning products.
We are working towards 100% LED lighting, already achieved at La Thibaudière.
Our partners and service providers are also selected on CSR criteria.
Local jobs and short supply chains, particularly for craftspeople.
Electric car to travel between our estates.
Teams & offices
Our company is committed to equity with parity observed on the management committee and annual bonuses for all employees.
We promote a modern and responsible work environment by using coworking offices at Emergence, known for its advanced CSR policy.
We organise two team retreats per year in France, focusing on trains and car-sharing, and promote sustainable communication through the exchange of shared documents.
Our onboarding includes a complete induction programme with various training courses (health & safety, employment law, internal systems, etc.), and we adhere to a zero-plastic policy by offering reusable bottles and mugs to newcomers.
